Wayne ROONEY and Manchester United, have once again gotten away with murder, well almost murder. In this weekend's clash with Wigan Athletics, United came out on top beating their opponents 4-0, a predictable feat based the current form they've been in, but what spectators didn't expect was witnessing an assault on the pitch. The Manchester striker showed his true colors and somehow[once again] got away with it. This event reiterates the impression that many football fans share Man Utd benefit from preferential treatment. As United pressed forward, Wayne ROONEY took the opportunity to strike James McCARTHY in the side of his head with a ferocious elbow. The referee actually has no excuse for not sending him off because he saw the incident and called a foul. The ref dismissed the incident as a clash... The FA[Football Association] opted not to ban ROONEY further demonstrating they, Sir Alex FERGUSON and his Red Devils, deserve their nickname.
