Drake in the Bay

YMCB and October's own, Drizzy Drake was in the Bay for a couple of concerts. While on the West Coast he took the opportunity to link up with Mistah F.A.B. and Killa Cali's E-40 to add a visual feel to his YAY-area jam entitled The Motto. The song itself feels like it belongs on 106 KMEL or even WILD 94.9, a smart move from the Toronto artist who continues to show his talents and savvy business ways. Who else can adapt to the US Music industry and the many genres of Hip-Hop while reppin' Canada.

To quote Cali based, producer extrordinare Madlib, "Style, if it wasn't for the style, it would be hard for me to show my culture profile... What about the beats, the beats, the beats...." A perfect Bay-Balance from Lil Wayne's protege.

OSSJ - Old School Sunday Jam

With Thanksgiving now behind us, Old School Sunday Jam echos the soundtrack of a wonderful weekend where family and tradition glows in the spotlight. Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Famer Bobby WOMACK reminds us the importance of looking back in order to move forward. Originally a member of a family group [splendidly] named The Valentinos, WOMACK released and refreshed Frank Sinatra's Fly Me to the Moon and his rendition of The Mamas & the Papas 'California Dreamin' to bust onto the scene in the 70's. Years later, serving as a subtle homage, WOMACK's legendary track entitled Across 110th Street was used in 2007's American Gangster starring Denzel WASHINGTON. It also has been sampled through the years by several artists including members of the Wu-Tang Clan, Bone Thugs and Harmony and the Game.

Everyone needs a good stuntman and if I were the likes of Frank Lebouef or Fabien Barthez I would definitely look into hiring Damien Walters. The former gymnast and European Champion has literally tumbled his way into Hollywood, appearing in numerous box office action thrillers: Ninja Assassin, Captain America and more recently Sherlock Holmes II. Checkout some of his stunts after the jump.

Dortmund Fans Push Their Team to Victory

Dortmund, the yellow submarine of the Bundesliga in Germany were crowned champions last year thanks to the expertise of their Coach, and the outstanding support of their fans. Though the start of the season has been a bit shaky, the fans decided to uplift their team last weekend against Wolfsburg.

The Signal Iduna Park, formally known as the Westfalenstadion, built back in the 70's has the capacity of hosting up to 83,000 supporters, most of whom showed up dawning the yellow and black colors of the club. The incredible amount of support the Dortmund fans provide their team was reflected recently in an outstanding display of fan love pictured above. Dortmund went on to win the game 5-1, thrashing the struggling Wolfsburg side.

Wenger Skill

There's no questioning that Arsene Wenger is one of the greatest coaches of all time, but who knew he had such raw technical talent. Despite a very disappointing start to the season Arsenal fans rest assure, the Professor knows football and he will lead the Gunners back to the top.

Nasri walks away from Gunners

After passing his medical in Manchester, the left bench warmer [actual positions] who opted to sit on a start-studded citizens bench rather being a star in London, signed for his new contract today. After Patrick VIERA, Kolo TOURE, Emmanuel ADEBAYOR and Gael CLICHY, Nasri is the fifth gunner who chose to make the switch which subsequently turns Manchester City into Arsenal beta. After all we share common goals, winning the EPL, the champion's league and beat Manchester United. Arsene please get to work and sign us some stars [not soon to be stars].

Still awaiting the good news though, whe will bendtner finnaly get out of here!?

L'ombre de TAPIE, couvre le Trophee des Champions 2011 (TAPIE oversees the Super Cup in France)

Suspect finish! After french Minister and OM official Berbard TAPIE was jailed in 1996, Marseilles fans and officials tried to wash off the tittle of "cheaters" from their track record. They spent a season in la Ligue 2 as people were baffled they were involved in a game fixing scandal. As part of theair pre-season preparations, Marseilles the French Ligue Cup winners face Lille, the Ligue 1 Champions in the battle of the 2011 champions. Lille led three goals to one up to the 83rd minute, which raised a few eyebrows. In the spend of seven minutes, five goals were scored eventually leading to the first title of the year for the Marseilles team. Though it is true Gervinho has left for London, there is no explaination as to why the French champions lost a 3-1 lead in such a short period of time. Interesting indeed...

Sergio Aguero passes his Medical in Manchester

Mere speculations until he is presented holding the sky blue shirt... or is it?

Excitement is building up as two of the most influential and hit-making pair of artists joining forces. We were already blown away from their release of "Otis", sampling the ever so soul legend Otis REDDING.

Kanye West & Jay-Z ft. Otis Redding - Otis

Reverting to what he does best, combining his personal [neo]new-age sound and the soulful music which rocked [most of] our cradles Kanye WEST uses the ever so recognisable voice of Otis REDDING to spice up a tribute to the musical legend. Finally Some Good News

The sun typically shines after the storm, especially after a six year storm that has slowly but surely depleted our [fan base] resources. As gunner fans, we have been enduring what may seem an eternity of disappointment; an insatiable thirst for success and unfulfilled potential has been casting a shadow on our beloved Emirates Stadium.

As the sun begins to rise on a new season, the dawn of success is slowly peeking its head out, preluded by winds of change and opportunity. Amongst the many rumors which have been meandering about our camp, two [ideal] scenarios are proving more realistic as the countdown to the start of the 2011-2012 season approaches; the departure of niklas [the Danish disaster] bendtner and the arrival of Gervinho from the French League and Cup Champions Lille.

Though it has not [yet] been confirmed from Arsène WENGER & Co, it seems very likely that the Gunners will finally off-load their bad luck charm as bendtner was left out of the squad currently training in Malaysia. Not sure what team would be dumb enough to acquire his [lack thereof] services, but as conniving car dealer would, we should cover his blemishes as much as possible [keeping him off the pitch, with his mouth shut, with sunglasses and a hat on to conceal his identity] so that a foolish and innocent passerby can be fooled into taking him off our hands.

The gunners and the EPL however, should in fact be excited about the arrival of Gervinho; a true breath of fresh air to our squad. An attack minded forward, hard working with the hunger for success and the heart of an up-coming star with everything to prove. The #10 along side the likes of Didier DROGBA, Salomon KALOU, Yaya & Kolo TOURE [to name a few Ivorian Coast stars], Gervinho combines African heart and determination with European [footy] fundamentals and a Brazilian [name] flare which will keep us yearning for more.

Bienvenu Gervinho! Watch this space for more…

Arsenal - Men will become Gods

After an extremely disappointing season, it seems as though the sun is preparing to rise again on our beloved Emirates Stadium. With [wonderful and delightful] news of the departure of certain players proving to be unworthy of the Gunner shirt, a new wind is arriving. The essential is for Arsene and the lads to return to their old [winning], a tabula rasa which should rely on the memory of the initial Gunners who started the club by pitching in 6 pence each for a leather ball. As we await to here the news of transfer completion, bottle of champagne are kept fresh and ready to be popped open as we welcome some fresh faces to the squad. The wind of change is indeed sparking a lot of excitement.

Jay-Z, about Hip-Hop

Mr. Jay-Z, elaborates on his opinion of hip-hop being true art form, and how viewers should take the time to step back and observe it on a second degree. Though it is true that many contemporary rappers have polluted the style of the genre, Hip-Hop will still and always remain Hip-Hop, a balanced form of self-expression and cultural representation. Jay's Decoded book should be in your gazebo this summer or at the very least on your book shelf to make sure that [hating or loving Hip-Hop] you can build a valid opinion on this [potentially amazing when well used] art form.

Ronaldinho Still Amazing

I would still prefer an overweight Ronaldinho over any of the chumps we had on Arsenal this past season. In that light, hopefully Wenger gets his wits together and signs someone with at least half of Dinho's skills, cause this Bendtner and Arshavin approach is just not panning out.

France stumbles in Euro 2012 Qualifier

It seems as though Les Bleus’ trip to Minsk proved to be once again a huge disappointment. Though the team was sporting their latest [la marinière] kit, they’re playing left much to be desired. Laurent BLANC’s men proved to still struggle on set pieces allowing an incoming corner to not only go through the entire box but also to land right in the six, where unfortunate Barcelona [European Champion] defender Eric ABIDAL tapped in an own goal. In all honesty, with a lone sticker what else were the tricolors expecting. Especially if the forward is Karim BENZEMA, who for some reason [that is yet to be explained] is wearing the #10 shirt. I’m at a loss for words, it seems as though the more important the games, the more difficult the coaches make it for themselves. Whether it be Arsenal, playing the Danish disaster [bendtner], Chelsea playing benayoun or man utd playing hernandez over [co golden boot winner] Dimitar BERBATOV, the world of football has been going against logic. If BLANC isn’t careful, the French national team will end up learning on their own [as if they needed more proof after the last World Cup] as all three of these British teams did this season.

PSG, Paris Sera Grand; the [re]birth of a European Super Power

In contemporary football, first Chelsea then Manchester City were revolutionized by extensive injections of [oil based]money. Today, it was announced that yet another team would benefit from black gold, allowing its supporters to dream of what is to come.

After the news of Qatar winning the bid for World Cup 2022, it seemed that the country had to justify their involvement, after all the country was little known for their football fanatics and more for their ability to splash money towards retired European stars. With their bid accepted and people left scratching their heads about the first World Cup held in the Middle East, Qatar decided to prove to the world that they too were contimated the [footy] fever.

The first step towards gaining Football respect was to become the second company ever to appear on Barcelona's [Blaugrana] jersey, the first being Unicef. Mission accomplished with the 2011-2012 kits featuring "Qatar Foundation" across the chest of the newly crowned Spanish and European Champions. The second objective, proves to be a bit more a challenge, making a struggling major city, in a struggling league [la Ligue 1] a major European force. What better city to host a Football firepower than the french capital, [my beloved] Paris.

Though the [PSG] team has been struggling and yearning for both titles and European glory for some time now, it has been the home of the likes of George WEAH, David GINOLA, Paul LeGUEN, [current coach] Antoine KAMBOUARE, Marco SIMONE, Jay-Jay OKOCHA, Michela ARTETA, Gabriel HEINZE [current Marseilles player aka traitor], Nicholas ANELKA, Rai, Leonardo and Ronaldinho [to name a few stars].Could it be that fans who have had to endure shameful depction as hooligans and violent [clinging on to the past] wishful thinkers in the media, could finally be reward for their loyalty. Stay tuned to find out as the world's eyes turn to the city of lights being inundated with oil-based funds.

A short movie that gives you glimpse into what Africa and the African spirit truly is. A perfect equilibrium between the joyful and collective mentality of the African people regardless of their surroundings. An ability to keep smiling regardless of what obstacles are put in front of you. Blitz and Terrence Nance did a wonderful job personifying the mother land as they shot this in Ghana with Blitz's music serving as the soundtrack. A bit of a long clip, but definitely worth you taking the time to enjoy it. Blitz The Ambassador's album Native Sun s available now, make sure to pick it up.

Work hard, play hard

As the 2010-2011 football season comes to an end, teams around Europe are being crowned champions while others worry about possible relegation. In Spain, Barcelona breezed through the competition to collect another title. In Germany, Dortmund and their incredible 85,000+ fans dominated all season long. In Holland, Ajax triumphed over their rivals. The French Championship is still to be determined over the next couple of matches, but it seems Lille maybe favored to top defending champs Marseilles. The big paychecks finally paid off for English side Manchester City as they celebrated their first silverware in 57 years by claiming the FA cup over Stoke City (the Premier League, on the contrary, was so disappointing it's not even worth mentioning). In Italy, AC Milan regained their title from their crosstown rivals Inter, celebrating their title victory in their brand new kits. The game was followed by a special dance performance from Ghana international Kevin-Prince BOATENG. The Milan midfielder had promised that he would display his best Michael JACKSON impersonation if his team ended the season top of the league. A delight for the fans and his teammates, a true testament that LIFE indeed IS BUT A BALANCE.

Happy Mother's Day

On this day of celebration, we honor the person that we all love and admire, the person who with care and tenderness taught us the basis of life. Though the noun describing her varies depending on the language, she still represents an unmeasurable and insatiable amount of love and tenderness where you call her "Mother, Maman, Muti or Mama."

Out of the many artists out there that celebrated the connection they have with their mother and characterizing our own personal sentiment is the late 2Pac. Displaying to perfection the realization and gentle acceptance of what our Mothers do for us. take the time to tell her what she means you, thank and cherish her cause without her, none of us would be here.

Bonne fete Maman!

New Arsenal Kit

After a difficult season and many wasted opportunities the Gunner finally rewarded [us] its fans this weekend. The weekend match against arch-rivals Manchester United brought hope back to the Emirate Stadium and with its solid performance the Gunners reset the dream in motion. The 1-0 victory against the [cheating] Red Devils, demonstrated that when teams are whiling to play actual football against us [rather then backing the back waiting for counter attacks], we will dominate. Our success thus did rely on Man U's confidence. Though a controversial call [Blatant Vidic hand ball in the box] was somewhat overlooked, the Gunners were rewarded for their composure and pressure by an Aaron Ramsey goal. Wenger and his army have not only offered us redemption at a chance for the title, but also blessed players and fans by not allowing bendtner [the danish disaster] to come on and pollute the game. A happily accepted victory and gift which was topped off by the release of the new kit and & Crest images.

Ooh to, ooh to be, ooh to be a Gooner!!!!

Trump for.... President? Really?

President Obama and Seth Meyers [from Saturday Night Live] display their comic side by holding up a mirror and allowing Donald trump and the republican party to see their true colors. This mini roast, though it does bring more [regretful and unnecessary] attention to the Donald Trump [joke of a]campaign for President, demonstrates how much of a knee slapper our political system risks becoming if wealthy individuals [with absolutely no political background aside from their fund raising ability] begin to be taken seriously.

Kanye West - Big Brother (Jay-z Tribute)

Throwback track to start the weekend off, a great dedication from Kanye to Jay-Z. This song reminds us all how wonderful it is to witness the growth of people you care about. As life rushes past, zooming by, leaving us wondering where time went, remember to you let your people know you love them and how proud of them you are.

...If you admire somebody, you should go 'head and tell 'em
People never get the flowers while they can still smell 'em
An idol in my eyes, God of the game
Heart of the city, Roc-A-Fella chain
Never be the same, never be another number one...

The Streets - OMG

"Dry Your Eyes" meets facebook. Mike Skinner's second single off the Computers and Blues album shows the inescapable reach of social media. With corporations now flaunting facebook profiles and tweets from professional footballers serving fines, we aren't surprised The Streets decided to reference "relationships status" in yet another gloomy track. Enjoy and don't forget to "like" the post (told you, inescapable).

White House Ends "birther" Controversy

With a single piece of paper, the White House finally shut the [Republican] opposition up. Today the birth certificate of our President was released putting an end to the issue which not only questioned his position as president of our country but also our Constitution.

"The President believed the distraction over his birth certificate wasn't good for the country. It may have been good politics and good T.V., but it was bad for the American people and distracting from the many challenges we face as a country."
- White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer

The "birther" issue has indeed been a distraction in a political era full of pressing domestic and international affairs. It is indeed sad to see that certain individuals even took the opportunity to question the legitimacy of President Obama publicly. Lets face it, regardless of all the money Donald Trump may have, his sudden appearance on the political scene wouldn't have had the same impact without his inappropriate and idiotic birther allegations.

This situation is disheartening. So much energy has been put into discrediting our democratically elected president that issues like the federal debt and federal deficit have been placed on the back burner. In an economically tarnished era with unemployment rates soring and American families struggling to make ends meet, how can the entire electoral process be questioned in such an emphatic manner.

Such offensive affront should be sanctioned. Distracting the political agenda, discrediting the constitution and disrespecting our democratically elected head of state, what can possibly be more UNPATRIOTIC than that?

Mario Balotelli and Nike Air Max Lunar Commercial

The "oh so often " criticized youngster, Mario Balotelli unites with Nike to bring the latest Nike Air Max Lunar. As a fan, I can only hope his disciplinary troubles balance out with his talents.

Chad Ochocinco Football tryout

One of the most charismatic and talented individuals in the NFL has opted to try something a little bit different during the off season. The Cincinnati Bengals receiver has been training with the local footy team, and though his ball handling abilities are being put to the test, his speed and athleticism have earned a spot on the reserve squad. To think what could have been of a US national team had athletes like Michael Jordan, Joe Montana, Barry Bonds and other American legends been introduced to the beautiful game. Makes one wonder why the rest of the world grasps what a great sport football can be and when the funding for the game is going to come?

Puyol Stretchered Off?

The first of four upcoming El Classico's didn't stir much media attention. Jose Mourinho's side were able to stifle Barcelona with a late penalty, but the 1-1 draw did little to narrow the Catalan's 8 point advantage. What did catch our attention was the stretchering off of Carles Puyol. Usually known for his relentless commitment and all-or-nothing style we were surprised to see him carried off for what seemed like a minor hamstring injury. Now we know footballers are very delicate and expensive these days and every precaution needs to be taken, but to see the Catalan's "lionheart" stretchered off and then comfortably WALK from the sideline to the bench is infuriating. Would you ever see Graeme Souness, Stuart Pearce, or Andoni Giocoechea willingly stretchered off? Not a chance. These men took pride in being the world's toughest athletes. Broken limbs, bloody noses, or tired legs, there was nothing that could get these players off the pitch.
Carles stop the act, either walk off the field or join Busquets in his shameful Oscar-diving performances. So Soft.

Preview: Cam'Ron & Vado - Gunz n´ Butta Snippets

April proves to be a strong month for the Harlem based Dipset. After the recent drop of Jim Jones's Capo, its Cam'ron and [his new protege] Vado's turn to release their heavily anticipated album. Gunz n' Butta marks the return of Cam and allows us to get a closer look at the lyrical talent that Vado brings to the table. With tracks such as Stop It 5, Speakin In Tungs & Hey Muma [tracks 11 through 13], the uptown duo demonstrate how anticipated their collaboration really is since all three of the tracks had previously hit [the airways and] the streets on a series of mixtapes. Vado proves to be a great addition to Cam's experience and clever flow that sometimes leaves us yearning for lyrical evolution. But contrary to certain [need to hang it up] hip-hop veterans [Memphis Bleek to put a face on the title] Cam still catches our attention and has us eagerly awaiting the Diplomat reunion project. Dipset!

Adidas Introduces the new Chelsea FC Home Kit

Regardless of the devastating loss, brought upon by [Italian] tactical mistakes, Chelsea had something to smile about today. Adidas released their campaign for the 2011-12 season with a new kit demonstrating a [yet to be seen in real life] happy group of stars such as DROGBA, LAMPARD, TERRY and some Spanish cat [torrres; note the lack of capitals for the lack of respect] celebrating a yet to be earned trophy. Though Adidas has a lot to prove with their main rivals Nike and Umbro stepping up their games, we are looking to forwad to what their rivalry is going to bring out of the game. What are your thoughts?

Donald Trump You're Fired

We hate to promote ignorance on Balance, but this is too important and outrageous to pass up. Reality TV superstar and American businessman, Donald Trump, has been flooding headlines and news reports with his take on the birther (non)issue. Reporters had finally stopped covering the topic and we believed things had finally subsided when somehow between his supposed presidential candidacy and ridiculous toupee Trump managed to resurface the issue. Frankly, this is an obvious marketing scheme devised by Trump to increase ratings for his television show, but what we find most frustrating is the media's decision to cover it. In the midst of a budget crisis and dwindling economy, don't we have something better to talk about than a certificate of live birth? The state of our country shouldn't be covered like a political reality TV show. Give us real news not some drunk political rhetoric that nobody cares about. CNN and Trump you should be FIRED!

CL Quarter-Finals Wrap-up

Wayne Rooney managed to restrain his scouse-self and avoided all cameras after scoring the lone goal against Chelsea. The all english fixture appears to be the only contested match left as Inter, Shakhtar, and Spurs were all thumped by their opposing sides. Lennon got 'sick' and Crouchy was sent off while Adebayor and Co. tormented the Spurs defense. Stankovic's incredible midfield volley wasn't enough as Inter were stunned 5-2 at the San Siro by an inspired Schalke side. And of course Barca were at it again putting up five against Shakhtar. Not much Balance in these matches, but plenty of quality. The incredible come back is begging in all of these fixtures, who will make it happen?

Neymar, the next Brazilian star?

On Wednesday, [the king] Pele's former club Santos faced Chilean club Colo Colo in the Libertadores Cup. The Brazilian, leaders of their group came out on top, and though the game was filled with technical and individual skills mirroring the 'joga bonito' mentality, it was also marked by an unusually high number of red cards.Five players were sent off, three from the Santos side and two from Colo Colo. The first sending off came following an outstanding display of control and individual pro es from Brazilian [up and coming] star Neymar. After having picked up a first yellow card for thought-less gesture on his adversary, Neymar picked up a second yellow for wearing a cut out mask of his own face in celebration of Santo's third goal.

The talented teenager who has been in the scope of many European big clubs, unfortunately demonstrated that though he has a lot of promise, he may not yet be ready for a move to Europe. After putting his team up 3-0, his T.O. [Terrell OWENS]'esque antics almost cost his team the match as Santos went on to win the match 3-2. As a fan of football and of the colorful technical aspect Neymar brings to the game, I hope he will learn from this incident and focus more on the game rather the side distractions finding the perfect Balance to fulfill the expectation we have of him.

Lights Out On Porto Party

The best way to shut down any party is to cut the power off and force everyone out. That's exactly what Portugese side S.L. Benfica did after losing 2-1 and the league to bitter rivals FC Porto. In the midst of the Porto celebration all power was cut from the Stadium of Light and the sprinkler system turned on. Apparently Benfica had no intention of helping Porto celebrate their fifth Portuguese Liga victory since 2005. But like all season long no one could stop the Porto side and their party. Modern Football - Snoods, Tights, and Pink Boots

According to the 2009/2010 FIFA Laws of the Game handbook, a player is required to have the following equipment in order to participate in a match:

• a jersey or shirt with sleeves – if undergarments are worn, the colour of the
sleeve must be the same main colour as the sleeve of the jersey or shirt.
• shorts – if undershorts are worn, they must be of the same main colour as
the shorts
• stockings
• shinguards
• footwear

Today the terms of this regulation has been under great dispute. The game of football no longer includes the classic jersey, shorts, and stockings ensemble. Players today step onto the pitch in snoods, tights, and even pink boots. Spectators and managers all over the world are beginning to question the direction of the game and these antics, their claim "the game is getting soft." These doubters may be right, today's game has an abundance of fairies (Exhibit A: Manchester United), but luckily we have players like Franck "Quasimoto" Ribery and Bastian "the Ultimate German" Schweinsteiger to save us and our beautiful game. Highlighted under shinguards of Law 4, the rule explicitly states players must wear proper shin protection.

The two Bayern stars have opted to bypass this rule, not to provide an extra layer of protection, but to show the rugged, physical, and hard aspect of the game still exists. Bastien and Franck don't wear shinguards and don't back-out of challenges because they play the game how it should be played, full of passion and endless commitment. The modern game is changing, player wages are outlandish and coaches are unfairly sacked, but subtleties like Franck's and Bastien's fearless approach to the game will keep the foundations of our game intact and at least prevent the game of football from breaking.

Republican Presidential Candidate

Bill MAHER of HBO's Real Time took the time to introduce us to the ultimate republican candidate. An accurate personification of the republican agenda,"a man who is the exact opposite of Obama." Karab AMABO. Political ideology aside, MAHER has once again out did himself balancing politics and satire, demonstrating that President OBAMA's opposition do have a funny side to them, though they may not see it themselves. Sheer comedy!

PS: Subtle parallel drawn to the Huckabee family portrait was EPIC.

Big Sean - My Last Video

Although we don’t support Chris Brown’s new bleach blond hair, we do like the new Big Sean track he is featured on, My Last Video. Another hit from the G.O.O.D. Music Label, Sean toasts to finally living up to his name and making it Big. The single off his new album should motivate and inspire all to work hard and do it, cause there’s definitely nothing like partying without a budget, Boi!

Black Eyed Peas - Joints & Jam

Now before you all get upset with me, this post is a result of talking with about a dozen people. I DO NOT like the Black Eyed Peas, and regardless of the music bashing most radio stations have been doing, I have only heard ONE song from start to finish from this group and this was pre-Fergie. Everything else was skipped over, muted or turned off. To give an ounce of respect they do sell, they are commercial, they're just not my cup of tea. So for all you fans, here is the best song the Black Eyed Peas have put out [hopefully thus far]. Old school warning [you've been warned.

David Garibaldi - Rhythm and Hue

Urban Paradise is one of the largest hip hop dance showcases in the bay area. Teams from all over California come to display their best routines and hottest styles to a crowd of dance enthusiasts. This year at the San Mateo Performing Arts Center, David Garibaldi awed the audience with a couple of paint brushes and a little popping. The performer/artist/dancer showed us the art of rhythm and hue; one large black canvas, an assortment of paint, and a couple of back-up dancers to create the perfect BALANCE'D art performance. Garibaldi's art perfectly combines "Rhythm, Color, Culture, Energy" to inspire us all. Once a lost graffiti artist from Sacramento, Garibaldi was able to use his talents and turn it into a positive message and art form. Witnessing Garibaldi's work and energy should motivate and inspire all to stay hungry and focused. Your time to shine may only be one rhythmic brush stroke away.

French League - PSG v OM

Le classico, the biggest rivalry in the French league la Ligue highlights two of the most famous cities in [l'hexagine] and biggest clubs in France. Over the years both teams have displayed star-studded line-ups, ranging from Geroge WEAH to Rudi VOLLER, Ronaldinho to Jean-Pierre PAPIN both squads have had their share of icons that made us dream. The clash of French titans reflects an extremely aggressive bipolarity that divides North vs. South, Navy & red vs. light blue & white. Sunday's match was an important fixture for the sides as they were both subsequently eliminated from the European Cup the previous week. La Ligue 1 is very much so an underrated league. It's filled with talent, and when taking a closer look, proves to be a stepping stone to some of the top football prospects in the world. Voici le classico!

Arsenal down to 10 men... again

Tuesday evening, Barcelona, the Spanish city was roaring in anticipation for what could turn out to be a clash of football titans. On one hand the Catalans, downing their traditional "blaugrana"[blue and deep red] stripes, while on the other, the Gunners who traveled all the way from London in order to contribute to [what was supposed to be] a beauty of a technical game. 95,486 spectators showed up in the Spanish city to admire some of the best football one can hope to watch. Both Arsenal and Barcelona had to deal with teams who, being afraid of playing attacking football, played either a defensive counter attack game or played damage control footy and hoped for a tie. With the scenario set, sparks were set to fly as both teams have been known for their passion for letting the ball do the work, a philosophy that most teams don't have the talent and skill to abide by.

In order for this masterpiece to fully capture the refined essence of French culture, the FFF even asked for the sophisticated and immensely stylish hand of fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld to contribute to the molding of their Away shirt. The result is impressive.

adipower Predator

As the year go by, the prices of footy boots have been getting outrageously out of control. I remember having to prepare a well structure and articulate way to suggest to my parents that I possibly deserved a $99 pair our soccer cleats. Which of course they promptly refused. Needless to say that with less then $100.00, you won't be able to get much, Boots can go as expensive as $400.00 depending on the model. I personally wouldn't dare to spend that much for boots, unless i knew for fact every shot and every dribble i attempted was GUARANTEED. Until then...I don't think so.
Along with the price, the amount of features on each shoes have increased as well. You have cleats for every kind player out there. The latest boots but Adidas, the adipower predators, will have its typical predatory, curve inducing rubber grips as well as the extra light wight of a speed boot. At 8.2 oz for predators, this proves to be too nice to pass up. Waiting on better color schemes though.
