No matter where your passion lies, life relies on a bipolarity, a contrast which defines the clash of inspirations. We seek to demonstrate the exact disposition between opposites, an equality, a sense of stability. It is only appropriate that our name defines our function. Regardless of what your vice maybe; Life is but a balance...
The latest track release from Kanye, synthesizer endued, heartbreak ballade seems to be a leak from the post-808 but pre-MBDF. A short track that demonstrates Kanye's ability to intertwine and marry different sounds. The track itself, if touched up and sprinkled with that Yeezy magic would very well turn this into another hit.
For those of you who don't know him, rapper Joseph Guillermo JONES II, aka Jim Jones is a member of the Diplomats, a Harlem based group that successfully made the progression from clique to group to record company. The group consists of Cam'ron, Juelz Santana, Freeky Zeeky and Jimmy himself. Though the group, just like many other famous ones in the past, has gone through some stormy times, they[luckily for us] are[back] still working together.Jones is actually the CEO of Diplomats Records and has been directing videos for various artists in the past. Many people who aren't from Harlem don't realize that Dipset and Jimmy in particular are involved in an array of activities. Jones actually has a freestyle in line skating team[Dipskate} that will soon be competing in at the X Games. Also, along with his childhood Friend, and former Rocafella Records boss Dame Dash, Jones started and is managing Splash Records.
His highly anticipated 5th album, entitled Capo is scheduled to be out April 5th. The cover for the LP shows Jimmmy progression and maturity throughout his career. The majority of his past covers showed a "pose-for-the-camera" Jones, typically with a scruffy beard and barely holding braids. This time he came up with a photo, slick braids on his head, head turned to the side as if he was contemplating the path he followed to become CAPO. Be on the lookout for the album. Go!
Wayne ROONEY and Manchester United, have once again gotten away with murder, well almost murder. In this weekend's clash with Wigan Athletics, United came out on top beating their opponents 4-0, a predictable feat based the current form they've been in, but what spectators didn't expect was witnessing an assault on the pitch. The Manchester striker showed his true colors and somehow[once again] got away with it. This event reiterates the impression that many football fans share Man Utd benefit from preferential treatment. As United pressed forward, Wayne ROONEY took the opportunity to strike James McCARTHY in the side of his head with a ferocious elbow. The referee actually has no excuse for not sending him off because he saw the incident and called a foul. The ref dismissed the incident as a clash... The FA[Football Association] opted not to ban ROONEY further demonstrating they, Sir Alex FERGUSON and his Red Devils, deserve their nickname.
For years you have delighted us with the manifestation and exemplification of what the beautiful game should be. While the majority of the teams throughout Europe took part in kick-and-rush, counter-attacking or even sit-back-and-wait defensive antics, you emphasized the importance of touch and go, knock about and run for your mates football. For this, us Arsenal fans will forever be thankful. A true supporter fuels its relationship with its club by offering support through the good and the bad times. As a leader of our Gunners you[and your management team] have brought many of good days, many more than bad ones. It is unfortunate however to see a lack of reaction to some of the on going issues. Today's embarrassing display is weighing heavily in all of our Gooner hearts.
Not much of a challenge for a full force Chelsea, but a depleted West London side and a heavily criticized Carlo Ancelotti desperately needed a win. Displaying poor performances in recent matches, the Blues came to Denmark with only one thing in mind, end their winless drought. Awkward and unusual way to start the game, however, keeping Drogba on the bench and pairing Anelka with Torres up front. Essien held down the midfield with a still-yet-to-prove-his-worth Ramirez, a well in form Malouda and Lampard. After being eliminated by Everton in the FA cup this weekend, it was crunch time for Ancelotti's boys.
Karim Benzema returned to Stade Gerland as Olympique Lyonnais hosted Real Madrid. Though Lyon heavily needed a win at home without giving a goal, they managed a decent result with this 1-1 tie. Adebayor kept Benzema on the bench to start the match, but was unable to capitalize and subbed off in the 64th minute. Upon his entrance OL supporters warmly welcomed their former top scorer back and thanks to some snoozing defensive antics on the part of Lyon, the french international was able to put the Madrigals up. Gomis leveled the sides in the last ten minutes, bringing us an exciting 2nd leg at the Bernabeu Santiago. Lyon will have to play a gargantuous game to knockout Mourinho and his Galacticos, especially with their super star Michel Bastos out. L'affaire reste a suivre
Hip-hop o guitar and drums, black and white with colorful imagery, Travis Barker, Pharell and the Clipse; a perfect musical balance and a outstanding way to promote a new mixtape. Travis Barker's Let The Drummer Get Wicked was recently dropped as he collaborated with DJ Whoo Kid. They released this gem featuring Malice and Pusha-T [the Playcloth owners] once again showing how talented the Virginia based group truly is. We're all waiting for more fellas.
Sunday, being the most relaxing day of the week [until you realize the week starts all over tomorrow] can only be the appropriate Old School day. In comparison with most contemporary songs, old school joints have sincere and truthful lyrics. The rhythmic and soulful music of yester-year artists prove to be a perfect combination to a work-less day. In this edition of OSSJ, Brenton Wood asks his lady of interest to Gimme Little Sign to spare his blushes, and in an inviting jester to show a little interest. This particular song was engraved in my head as it repeated through the walls of my childhood house, my father snapping his fingers to the catchy hook that made this song legendary. For this and the many other classic tracks I subconsciously know verbatim I thank my father and his eclectic music collection. Shout out to Wheazle for whom Sundays in JA just got brighter [if that's even possible]. Cheers
I've been waiting for this video for a while. Announced before the 'Monster' video made its brief appearance online, 'All of the Lights' is now ours. I always have been a fan of Kanye, regardless of how some of his off stage antics my have made you feel, no one can take away from the fact that he is a truly talented individual. Lets face it, we're all human, none of us are flawless, in his case, constantly being in the public eye has made his flaws and poor decision making more visible than most. Nonetheless, he [as an artist] has been amazing since the time he was a little-known Chi-town producer, way before his rocafella chain, before the Louis Vuitton bags and before the VMA incident.
As a fan, I was promoting how great Kanye was going to be back when he was known by most as "Kane" the producer. Thus explaining my enthusiasm for this particular release. This song has everything to be an instant [classic]hit, an intro filled with classical instruments and contemporary sounds. An energetic beat spiced with old school drum-set Kanye magic. A dizzying list of featurings which include stars such as Rihanna, Kid Cudi, Alicia Keys, Fergie and even Elton John [to mention a few]. Finally a video directed by the infamous Hype Williams, who through out the years has so eloquently made the words of our favorite songs come to life! Flashing lights was my favorite track off of Graduation in 2007 and now 'All of the Lights' takes the trophy for his latest master piece, it is as if the prophecy was coming true, the star seems to truly shine under the [spot]light!
Here is the latest edition of Viva Futbol, a series of clip that demonstrate some of the talent and moves that the beautiful game brings us. Here's to all the real fans, a nice little compilation with Fabolous feat. The Neptunes - Tit 4 tat in the background. Shout out to P-Double for sending this over. Ole!
