With Thanksgiving now behind us, Old School Sunday Jam echos the soundtrack of a wonderful weekend where family and tradition glows in the spotlight. Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Famer Bobby WOMACK reminds us the importance of looking back in order to move forward. Originally a member of a family group [splendidly] named The Valentinos, WOMACK released and refreshed Frank Sinatra's Fly Me to the Moon and his rendition of The Mamas & the Papas 'California Dreamin' to bust onto the scene in the 70's. Years later, serving as a subtle homage, WOMACK's legendary track entitled Across 110th Street was used in 2007's American Gangster starring Denzel WASHINGTON. It also has been sampled through the years by several artists including members of the Wu-Tang Clan, Bone Thugs and Harmony and the Game.
